We invite you to attend the thematic workshops entitled “OUR MONUMENTS ARE POINTS OF REFERENCE FOR OUR IDENTITY,” organized as part of the implementation of the interregional project “Promotion of tourist and cultural advantages with modern technology applications and creation of a digital multimedia guide in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.

The thematic workshops will be experiential and will include electronic navigation of tour routes to local natural monuments. In addition, these seminars will include informing and raising awareness among tourism entrepreneurs, primarily those located along the routes, about the concept of good tourism practices, and of course informing them about the routes of the program that have been identified.

The aim of the action is to inform the population of each intervention area about the opportunities offered by the promotion of natural heritage sites, both for businesses and the economy, to learn about good examples from other areas of the country, to be trained in the concept of “good tourism practices” and their value for each visitor, and ultimately to become ambassadors of nature tourism for their region.

Participation fee: Free of charge

This is an action of the interregional cooperation plan “Promotion of tourism and cultural advantages with modern technology applications and creation of a digital multimedia guide in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace,” implemented under Sub-measure 19.3 CLLD/LEADER of the Rural Development Program (RDP) 2014-2020 and is co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Ministry of Rural Development, implemented through cooperation between the Development Agencies of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, with the aim of promoting tourism and cultural advantages using modern technology applications and creating a digital multimedia guide in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.

A prerequisite for participation in the thematic workshops is that beneficiaries are entrepreneurs and employees in the tourism sector in these areas, as well as producers of local products. Emphasis will be placed on the participation of businesses that have been supported under the RDP.
